Due to tax-regulations in Denmark, both the renter and additional drivers must have a permanent address outside Denmark, and not be registered at Dansk Folkeregister (The Danish Registry of Citizenship).
Eventhough snow tires are not mandatory by Law in Denmark, DanskAutoRent puts safety for our customers first, and therefore we guarantee snow tires/snow brush/ice scraber on all car groups, when pickup is within the period of 1/11-31/3.
The fee is DKK 50,- per day - and is automatically included in the prices you see online.
If the pickup date is NOT within the above mentioned period, pls contact us at service@danskautorent.dk for your options!
DanskAutoRent does not offer spike tires.
We will charge the fuel on your credit card and add a service fee.
You can also at time of pickup ask for the Fuel Purchase Option (FPO), so you have everything in place before returning. The price for FPO varies according to the list-price of fuel.
The booking page automatically lets you know which fields you must fill out, and which can wait upon arrival.
The minimum age is as follows:
Car group: A,B,C,D,Y,F,I,J,O,P,Q,T,W - 23 years
Car group: R,S – 25 years
Car group: M - 28 years
If you are 21-22 years old there are some exceptions:
Only available for car groups A, B, C & O.
It is possible to rent these groups being 21-22 years old by paying an additional charge of DKK 100.00 per day.
There is no upper age limited renting with us.
At the time of rental, the driver must present a valid national driver's license which has been held for at least 6 months.
An International Driving Permit (IDP) is recommended for non-European Union renters.
If the driving license has been issued in the People’s Republic of China, the license must be accompanied by a notarized translation instead of an IDP.
The IDP translates the national driving license into various languages and is not accepted without the national license.
Dansk Auto Rent uses Hertz Car Rental as our supplier.
There is a description in your confirmation, that tells you where the Hertz counter is located.
Just park your car at the Hertz parking area as specified on your rental agreement.
You will only be charged for the number of days you have the car.
Please se below how days are calculated, and also be aware, that some rates can be calculated as a special offer (e.g. 1 week = 5-7 days rental).
The minimum rental period is 2 days. A rental day is calculated as 24 hours from time of pickup.
Example: You pickup the car on Wednesday at 08:00. Then the minimum rental is until Friday at 08:00.
There is a 29 min. grace time, which means, that if you return the car more than 29 min. after your stated pickup time, you will be charge for an extra day.
Example: You pickup the car on Wednesday at 08:00, and return it Friday at 08:45. Then you will be charged for 3 days rental.
It is not mandatory to enter your credit card information. However – if you do enter your credit card details, you will expedite the processing time upon arrival.
When: Your card will NOT be charged at time of reservation.
We will at time of pickup take an authorization for the rental amount on your credit card, and the card will be charged when the car is returned.
We accept Eurocard/Mastercard, VISA credit card, American Express and Diners.
If you wish to pay with VISA/DANKORT, DANKORT or CASH you must at time of booking and at pickup present one of the above mentioned international credit cards, where an authorization will be taken, and then payment will be done on your VISA/DANKORT, DANKORT or in CASH, when the car is returned.
You can simply add the child seats on the website, and they will automatically be calculated in the total price.
Yes! We guarantee that you will get the size car you booked or larger.
The rental price of the car is all inclusive! The prices include unlimited mileage, liability insurance regarding 3rd party bodily and property, damage and theft insurance with a maximum excess of DKK 1.000,- and all local taxes. The only possible additional charges are additional equipment (e.g. child seats or snow tires) and additional drivers. These will however when added on the booking page be calculated in your total price of the car.
Fuel: The car is rented with a full tank, and as long as you return it with a full tank, you will not be charged anything extra. You can however at time of pickup choose a fuel purchase option.
